Evelyn House was a wonderful find. Beautifully equipped and comfortable, we could not have wanted for anything, and what a superb location - coming back to sit on the balcony and sip a glass of wine while watching the sun go down was a perfect end to wonderful days. So near the centre of Whitby and yet so very quiet. Thank you Jenny for a perfectly relaxing break - highly recommended. September 2008. |

Very high standard of accomodation both in terms of comfort and cleanliness. Nice touches like locally based novels for holiday reading. If weather is kind, the balcony is a good place to while away an hour or two watching the fishing boats, yachts and mad rowing teams who are obviously out for Olympic gold! |

Spent a fabulous week at Evelyn House Oct 2005. We visit Whitby regularly and found the accommodation to be outstanding. We enjoyed the space Evelyn House provides,loved the views and were thankful of the parking. Centrally situated,well equipped and beautifully furnished.Cannot recommend it highly enough. We enjoyed fish and chips on the harbour side, the ghost walk, the museum in the park where the staff were fantastic with the kids and the fabulous beach. Coming back 2007. |

Absolutely fabulous we had a great time. Our kids loved it too, they definetly enjoyed the fresh air. We couldn't fault this house,which we have already reccomended to friends, we will be coming back soon. |

Extremely attractive and well equipped accommodation. Well located with outstanding views. Do visit Straithes and Robin Hoods Bay. Most enjoyable walking in and around Grosmont. |

Evelyn House is one of the most beautiful properties to rent for a holiday. It's very modern living accommodation suits all. We were made to feel very relaxed, and often felt more like staying in enjoying the views & the very sociable living/dining area, than exploring Whitby. Look no further for fantastic accommodation, providing you're prepared to keep fit!! We look forward to enjoying another break, staying in Evelyn House of course! |

Evelyn House met and surpassed all our expectations.
We wanted a holiday home with loads of character, 1st class accomodation and uniqueness, within the historic port of Whitby. What we got was exactly that and more besides. It combined all the charm of a georgian property, but with all the mod cons of a new build. Even our 8 month old son Ben really seemed to appreciate the comfort too!
We stayed at Evelyn house in Jan 06, and to say the weather was cold was a slight understatement. However the house provided a wonderful base to explore the haunting N. Yorks coastline. Not to mention a fantastic place to relax, eat fish and drink wine in the evenings, watching the reflections on the river!
We all hope to be back soon, we'll probably try a Summer vacation next time! |

This is a fantastic house - beautiful decor and attention to detail. It's very well placed for exploring Whitby without having to drive everywhere. The views are stunning and we could not have wished for a better place to spend a relaxing week. |

What a brilliant house - stunning views, really well equipped, extremely comfortable, well located for exploring Whitby - and access to the Abbey without any steps!. Lots of thoughtful details, and Jenny could not have been more helpful and friendly. We shall be back! |

Evelyn House is a fantastic place to stay. Immaculate, well presented, first class accommodation. Sitting on the balcony with the wonderful views was magical. Our children also thought the house wonderful especially their rooms on the top floor, very princess like! We will definitely be back. Thank you. |

This house has it all - great accomodation, a spotless, well equipped and sociable kitchen within the huge living room area, lovely views, great location, only a few minutes walk from the abbey and centre of town (all the steps are great excercise!) Oh - and a garage and forecourt to park 2 cars in this busy town is a huge bonus too.
We already loved Whitby and I do not think we could have found anywhere better for our two families to stay. |

Evelyn House is a superb place to stay, better than anywhere we have ever stayed before. The house caters for everthing you can imagine, and the attention to detail in the house is fantastic. We had a smashing week, mostly sitting on the balcony taking in the view. We were sorry to leave and will definitely be back. If you are thinking of staying in Whitby, look no further than Evelyn House, you will not be disappointed. |
